A page title, also known as a title tag, is a short description of a webpage and appears at the top of a browser window and on the search engine results page (SERP). It is an important element of an optimised SEO page.

Page Title Best Practices

  • The title should be greater than 30 characters but less than 60 characters.
  • They should also be greater than 200 pixels and less than 544 pixels.
  • The title should include keywords.
  • Avoid stuffing keywords within the title. Also, refrain from using the same keyword multiple times, i.e. saying the company name multiple times.
  • Please be aware that Google is currently experimenting with rewriting page titles.
